A specialist in TECHNOLOGY solutions ensures that organizers and festival visitors make the right contacts at Burrs Live, the district’s new music festival.
Burrs Live runs August 27 through September 5 and features live music, community events, family fun, and artisanal food.
A Victoria Wood-inspired entertainment schedule includes the Happy Festival and the established Head for the Hills Festival.
Avoira, based in Bury, is the main sponsor of Burrs Live and has agreed to provide free WiFi to festival goers, staff and volunteers.
Free Wi-Fi ensures the smooth operation of a mobile box office and enables ticket sales on site as well as the scanning of barcodes of pre-printed e-tickets in order to minimize queues at the wristband exchange facility.
In addition, the company will provide free two-way radios to enable secure communication across the site.
This will use the same technology Avoira uses to provide free internet access at The Met, the organizers of Burrs Live, following Avoira’s previous sponsorship of Head for the Hills, which is usually held at the Ramsbottom Cricket Club.
The Met General Manager Victoria Robinson said: “We are very grateful to Avoira for their sponsorship. It will bring Burrs Live expertise and technology that we know from experience will be invaluable in providing the best experience for festival goers.
“Any festival organizer will tell you that good communication, both voice and data, is absolutely critical to the efficient operation and safety of a festival.”
On Friday September 3rd and Saturday September 4th the music festival will be held in the hills. The music festival will feature Manchester art rock group Everything Everything and Bolton pop singer and songwriter Badly Drawn Boy.
