Technology company Bury was shortlisted for the National Innovation Awards

A BURY technology company has reached the finals of the prestigious 2021 UK National Innovation Awards.

Avoira, based in Pennine House on Salford Street in Bury, is listed in the Remote Employee Productive and Performance category.

The entry of the company concentrates on an integrated offer for speech analysis, contact center and telephony. Xdroid’s machine learning and real-time speech analysis with artificial intelligence are combined with the Noetica software platform via a direct proprietary interface.

“Getting to the finals is an achievement in itself,” said Steve Watts, Avoira’s CX trainer. “The National Innovation Awards are uniquely judged by leaders whose workplace experience and expertise are directly related to each category. They are all about real applications and verifiable benefits. ”

Established in 2016 by the Directors Club United Kingdom, the awards recognize technological innovations and their impact on customer experience, operational performance and employee engagement.

30 judges will evaluate Avoira’s contribution from a distance using a video presentation. The winner will then be announced at a gala webcast presentation on Tuesday, May 11th.

This year the awards focus on technological innovations that improve the ability, productivity or experience of work from home.

Jon Snow, chairman of the Directors Club and chairman of the jury, said: “Working remotely from living rooms, kitchens, attics and garden sheds has enabled the UK to avoid a much deeper and longer lasting economic shock during the pandemic. “The technologies that power and support this work from everywhere deserve recognition and celebration.

“Congratulations to all finalists and a big thank you to all participants. This competition showed the depth of creativity in the tech universe.

“The main legacy of this pandemic will be more flexible and geographically diverse labor pools, wider work opportunities at home and better work-life balance.”
