Take a first look at Bury’s newly opened Stanley’s Bar

A NEW bar has opened in Bury after a £ 35,000 renovation.

Stanley’s of Bury opened on Silver Street over the weekend and its owners hoped it could replicate the success of their sister establishment in Tottington.

Anna Tollitt of owners The Woodcock Group said it was a “great relief” to open for the hospitality industry after months of uncertainty during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The opening went very well and luckily we had the weather on our side,” said Anna. “Bury was strong for football and it was a great weekend.

“Many of our employees were on leave for most of last year, so it was exactly what we needed to get back into business.”

Live performances by musicians and events such as quizzes and cheese evenings take place in the bar.

“We got very nice feedback and some of our regulars from Tottoton came to see us, which was really nice,” added Anna. “A lot of people have become curious and wish us good luck.”

Stanley’s of Bury is open Wednesday through Sunday.
