A man died in an accident at work in Bury St. Edmunds, police confirmed today (April 2nd).
The man, who was in his 30s, died yesterday at the scene of the incident on Rougham Tower Avenue.
Shortly before 3 p.m., officers were called to the construction site along with fire and rescue services, ambulance services and a team from the Suffolk Accident and Rescue Service.
The man’s next of kin have been informed, a Suffolk Police statement said.
It says: “The man’s death is currently being treated as unresolved.
“Suffolk Police officers are currently working with colleagues from the Health and Safety Officer to investigate the circumstances that led to the man’s death.”

The coroner has been notified and the investigation is ongoing.
Officers said yesterday that “one person is affected” and that the cause of the incident “does not pose a major threat to the community”.
While the investigation continues, a police cordon remains in place at the crime scene.
