A NEW gym in Bury opened with a visit from the Mayor of Bury.
The Stealth Gym Bury at Victoria House on Wood Street opened on June 7th after a long six months of construction with an opening ceremony led by Mayor Cllr Tim Pickstone, who also walked in and toured the premises.
The gym managers and owners are committed to welcoming intermediate to intermediate gym goers who want a bespoke fitness experience, and create an atmosphere where members treat the high-end equipment with respect.
The gym owners said they wanted to be picky about their members and make sure they only accept people who treat the gym with care.
The gym has already earned a lot of respect in the fitness community, with 40 percent of current members being either personal trainers or fitness professionals.
On the recommendation of Cllr Tamoor Tariq, they contacted the mayor’s office to see if he would attend the opening.
Cllr Pickstone presided over the ceremony and even sampled some of the equipment.
Gym spokesman Gaffar Ahmed said: “When we heard that the mayor was coming, I didn’t quite believe it.
“I thought he would be really nice to come along, but it was just one of those things that never really happens. It was fantastic to have him. ”
While the gym was being designed, everyone had an equal say in the design of the interior, as it should be as democratic as possible so that everyone could be happy with the end result.
The staff were delighted with the opportunities they were given to get involved in the process of the operation and to help the people who trust them.
Cllr Pickstone said, “I was very impressed with the facilities.
“It was great to get to know the team and I wish you all the best for the future.”
