Three men arrested after severe burns died in Bury | Greater Manchester

Three men were arrested after a woman at a Bury address died in hospital after being severely burned, Greater Manchester police said.

A statement from the Greater Manchester Police Department said: “Police were called just after 7:30 pm on Friday, July 23rd to report that a woman had been badly burned at an address on East Street in Bury.

“Ambulance came and found that a 31-year-old woman had been badly burned and was being rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of the rescue personnel, she died a short time later.

“Three men aged 34, 24 and 26 were arrested in connection with the incident and are being held for questioning. The police are not looking for anyone else in this context. GMP is now working with fire investigators to investigate the circumstances of the incident. “

DCI Daniel Clegg of the Greater Manchester Police Serious Incident Team said, “This is a truly devastating incident in which a woman tragically lost her life. I want to reassure the public that we believe this is an isolated incident and that there will be an increased presence of emergency services in the area as we work to determine the full circumstances surrounding this death.
